A Worthwhile Investment?
It must be admitted that there is a lot of equipment required to set up a home brewing operation – indeed, this is a major reason that a lot of people decide that home brewing is not for them. However, over time it can save you money compared to what you might spend on beer from the supermarket or liquor store, so it is well worth considering if you feel you have the time and inclination to do it.
This is what it comes down to. If you are a beer enthusiast – and that does not mean you just like to get drunk – then there is every reason to try brewing it yourself. The range of different beers on the market is growing by the year, but there is still a chance of plenty of connoisseurs getting slightly bored with what is on offer. Therefore it is only natural to want to sample something new – and what better way of doing so than coming up with something of your own?
As long as you have the patience to persevere with something that has the potential to go wrong, you are a decent candidate to start brewing for pleasure. Home brewing is far from easy, but definitely worthwhile. How good would it be to sit back in an armchair and sip a cold beer knowing that you were the one who made it? Better yet is when you offer a sip to someone else and, without knowing that you brewed it, they declare that it is excellent.
