Beer And Blogging

When you start to brew beer at home, there is every chance that the first few batches will not be any good. However, people may well still be interested in how you go about doing it and be interested in offering advice. It may be a good idea to start up a blog connected to your efforts. This way you can document your brewing career in words and pictures, and can invite comment as well as being able to promote your site (and any eventual commercial brewing you might decide to do).

Blogging is quite easy to do. With the number of free content management services available in the present day it is an excellent time to start, too, and if you know a thing or two about monetizing blogs you can even sell advertising space (more funds to put into perfecting your brewing station!). It allows you to give an interesting angle on the process of home brewing, and perhaps persuade a few more people to take up the pursuit by showing them how you can start with some boring-looking ingredients and end up with a decent-looking, drinkable beer.

This is what is so refreshing about home brewing – there is a real community feel to it which allows you to exchange ideas and make contact with people who have the same passion as you do for the brewing and drinking of excellent beer. If you are a good enough writer than your blog may well be viewed by more people than you expect, and you can get a chance to discuss beer and brewing with a wider audience.
